Renata Radłowska
Renata Radłowska, born in 1973. Since 1996 she has been working as a journalist for the Gazeta Wyborcza daily. Born in a small town of Nowy Targ, she grew up in Kazimierz (Cracow’s former Jewish district) and remembers it the way it used to be before being annexed by tourists, i.e. dirty, dilapidated and top of the city’s most shameful statistics. For ten years now, she has been living in the oldest part of Cracow’s socialist and industrial district Nowa Huta (now a historic site). She writes about this place and its inhabitants – things that make them happy or sad, their problems, ideas, complexes and eccentricities.
